The Camco RV Anode Rod F/Aluminum Water Heater (part number 11533) is a product designed for use in recreational vehicles (RVs). The anode rod is inserted into the water heater to prevent corrosion of the tank. The anode rod is made of aluminum and is designed to corrode in place of the water heater tank, protecting it from rust and prolonging the life of the water heater. Patented magnesium anode rod for aluminum water heaters (Atwood style) preserves the life of your water heater by corroding itself so your water heater tank doesn't. Replace your 1/2" pipe thread drain plug with Camco RV Water Heater Anode Rod to extend the life of your RV's water heater. Internal drain valve allows you to drain your water heater without tools and sealer. The anode rod is easy to install and replace, it is inserted into the water heater drain plug, and it is recommended to be checked and replaced every two years or as needed. The anode rod is designed to fit most standard RV aluminum water heaters, and it is not suitable for use in water heaters made of other materials. This product is designed to be used in RVs and is not suitable for other types of vehicles or buildings.
